Halo 3 Beta

Anyone here sucessfully get into the Halo 3 Beta or buy Crackdown and get a key? I'm planning on buying a copy of Crackdown later on tonight.

Another thing: does this "Key" provided by Crackdown guarentee entry?

i plan to buy crckdown too. and the beta should be out soon, but wat "key" are u talking about, u hav to get the beta from the xbox360 marketplace.

I saw a Gamespot article about how Crackdown comes with a Key (like a CD Key for a PC game) with will allow you access to the Halo 3 Beta when it surfaces.

Update: According to Halo3.com, the Crackdown should guarantee access to the Beta when it arrives.

You either had to be invited to the beta (which is over now) or purhcase a 1st shipment copy of Crackdown, which are still in stores (I'm a manager at Gamestop and we still have some.) The ones with the beta's have a specially mark box with a sticker ON the shrinkwrap of the case. Inside the case it has a little leaflet inside with instructions to obtain the beta when it comes out. Hope that helps.

I had a friend who works at bestbuy and he managed to get one and yes it is a great game. He says that there is none left.
