Ideas for Homebrew apps!

I don't code, but I have some good ideas.. P2P app (like Ares/limewire, I prefer ares over limewire). so you could download music to your memory stick via wifi. Also, does anyone know any sites to play streaming music from your PSP? myspace artist's pages don't work on mine.

number 2: Also, it'd be awesome if you could hook up your PSP to your computer via USB, and instead of using it as a mass storage device/MS Pro Duo reader, you could use it as a Wifi adapter. wouldn't that be cool?

I don't know of any p2p apps for the psp, but there are a few programs to stream music and vid from your computer to your psp. Such as PiMPstreamer. There's also programs used for plenty of systems all at once. Can't remember most fo them though right now.

I think it'd be pretty cool to use your psp like you can use the WiFiMAX to access someone else's internet. Say like, your internet goes out you can always use the neighbors for the time being. But using the psp as an access point would just be pointless imo :p

I would like to see a WEP and/or WPA encryption hacker, then i could use my psp on other peoples secured networks. Right now i can only use it in my house. It would be useful in airports, hotels, schools, when traveling, etc.

Majority of those places already have free internet access. but yeah that wep/wpa hacker would definately be a handy little tool. Highly illegal tho.

Nah, not like that.. say.. you were at a friends house, and he has a USB cable (everyone has one, for camera, mp3 player) that fits your psp. and they don't have internet, but htey live in an area with open wifi, so u can browse the net with your PSP. but u wanna be able to download songs and stuff. u'd hood up the PSP to your computer, and use the PSP as a wifi client. (your friend's desktop can now access a neighbor's open access point!)

Most of those places use hotspot technology, not encryption, you'd have to use SSH tunnel, not just cracking a password. hotspot = buy credits.

How about an app that gets Dark Alex back.

Return to PlayStation Portable
