another 360 question

I dont have my 360 (WAITING FOR CHRISTmas to roll around) but i was wondering about the music part. I would want all my songs onto the hard drive (Im getting the elite and am sure i will have enough space. lol)

I have heard u cant plug a MP3 player into it and rip the songs but u can put music on a CD and rip them off. What about an memory stick? Can i plug in my memory stick through usb and rip the songs off of it onto the 360? (i have a memory stick adapter so i plug it into it and then it has a USB end)

If not, whats the easiest way to do it?

thanks...I wonder if i an do this. Can i put files (with music in them) on a disk without finalizing it, let the 360 put them on the HDD and then put the disk back into my laptop and take all those files off and put new ones on there and repeat? It wont be a re-writeably disk.

whenever i get my xbox 360 back im going to attempt to plug in an MP3 player though see what i can come up with it didn't work with my friends though so uhm

and about your CD
I dont think thats really possible.
Once you burn the cd i think it like just finalizes it on its own...
and ontop of that a MUSIC file on a non CDRW i think u can't overwrite..
I think its stuck like that..
If i was there around you id just give u a few CDs i have around 100 blank ones ( far from kidding)
And I did read your response to other question

Probably. And yea, you can keep sticking mp3's on the cd, but if it is just CD-R then no, you can't like delete the mp3's then put new ones on it. Physically impossible. You can delete the file off of it so that it isn't readable, but the physical space will be lost. You need CD-RW if you want to do that.

Seems like everyone is getting 360's soon, either for Christmas or just getting them around this time ;P

i dont blame them......I thought you couldnt do that with a regular disk. But i didnt know if you didnt actually finalize it (like the DVDs. You cant play it on ALL DVD players until its finalized)
