How do I get some demos to work from other sites?

I downloaded a few demos from a website but for some reason they won't work. I got like LocoRoco to work but i couldn't get the Metal Gear Solid demo to work (http://dl.qj.net/Metal-Gear-Solid:-Port ... Demo-(3.00)-PSP/pg/12/fid/13719/catid/446)
It had the icon and everything but when is tarted it up it played the little scene and went to a black screen, then goes back to the xmb and give me this crap:
"The game could not be started. (80020148)"- What does that mean? That and when I tried to put full auto 2 the thing just came up as corrupt data. Do I have to have a custom fw to play some of these demos? Or what am I doing wrong? I put the folder the eboot is in in the "GAME" folder on my mem stick but they just don't work. Thanks.
O and my psp is v3.03FW (still waiting for a copy of LCS to get so I can downgrade )

*EDIT* I just read the info on the link for the metal gear solid demo... it seems that that one is for multiplayer only and that its for 3.00 it also mentioned something about them having another version for 3.40. So i'm guessing that's your problem right there...you have 3.03 and it requires 3.00.

O.o So my firmware is to high to play a demo? That sucks. O and should I like change the folder name or something? Because all the demos I have downloaded that work are named like UCJS10041 and similar ones, which I am guessing is the little number on the UMD disc or case that you see on retail versions. So if I just rename the folder Full Auto 2 and Metal Gear Solid is in to the ULCS and UCES numbers that are on the cases then it should work right? Or is there like somewhere on the sony site I can download the demos from, or at least find the right numbers, since I know UCJS is for jap games and locoroco demo is in Japanese.

Usually you can play the demo if your firmware is higher but from what i took out of that description for that specific game it seemed like someone had altered the files in some sort of way so that that one was only playable on 3.00 and the other was playable on 3.40.

As for the names, I believe your able to rename them to your likings and it should still be functional.
