How do I upgrade from ver 3.10 OE-A to ver 3.51???

I have ver 3.10 OE-A and I need to get ver 3.51 on my psp but everytime I download it off sony's site I get an error message that says "this game could not be started (DADADADA)" I have also tried the network update and the same thing happens. please help. Thanx

Do you have a TA-082 or later motherboard? If so you cant upgrade past 3.30 sony firmware because they made some kind of security checks that prevent downgraded psp's from updating past 3.30. Yeah i know, sucks...but hopefully theyll come out with something to fix this problem.

I dont know which motherboard I have. I bought the psp the day it came out. does that help?

Ooo the day it came out? Then you probably don't have a TA-082. Probably gots yous a TA-079.(I think that's the version of the old motherboard.) Why would you want to upgrade to a non-homebrewable firmware though? You can always just upgrade to 3.40OE-A....

But if you really want to, then just put the update (titled EBOOT.PBP) in a folder titled UPDATE in the GAME folder, which is in the PSP folder. If so, then just downgrade back to 1.50 and then upgrade to the dinky 3.51. (You know the only difference in 3.50 and 3.51 is that 3.51 has a security patch in it so you can't downgrade it, thats the ONLY difference).

I need to upgrade to 3.50 at least because I just picked up a ps3 and in order to access the remote play feature u need to have ver 3.50 or higher on your psp. I cant seem to upgrade or downgrade at all. If I try to downgrade it says "u already have a higher version and there is no need to upgrade". unless im doing something wrong. Your supposed to download the update from this site and save it to PSP>GAME>UPDATE then run it on the psp right?

u can use remote play on 3.00+ ver even 3.xx oe i think
