Configuration menu won't load

Hi

I've got a PSP phat, firmware version 3.71 M33-3

Everything was working fine until I recently stopped using my Lumines UMD to play my memory stick games (I sold the game lol, might of been kinda dumb) and went into the recovery menu and turned on No UMD. It worked fine until now where I get the error message (80020321) and now when I went in to turn off No Umd Mode into the configuration menu, the screen will go black and shut the psp off after about a minute. Everything else in the recovery menu works except for the Configuration list.

any help?

That means you need to have a UMD game disc in your psp in order to play the game.

I know that, but I can't access the configuration menu anymore.

Also sadly I don't have a psp game around (only a movie and my psp sampler disc that came with the psp but it has no games on it) and neither of these will work.

ugh me thinks I might have to either get that game back or buy a new one.

Hm so you can't enter recovery mode? I'm not sure but on 3.52 M33-4 you can access the UMD option in the XMB by pressing the 'home' button. The vsh menu should pop up.

Adding on to that...if your able to gain acces. Try formatting your flash1. Yes flash1, not flash0. And then change your umd mode to the np9660 or whatever it is.

I can still enter the recovery menu from using "the Hold R down during startup" method, its just that the Configuration menu in the recovery menu will not load up and will just go to a black screen and then shut the psp down a short while later.

What do I have to do to Format Flash1?

Flash1 is mainly the settings saved from what your PSP is using. Seeing as how your having problems with some of the functions on your PSP, it might fix it.

I updated to 3.80 M33-2 and it seems to have fixed the problem with the configuration menu. Thanks for the help anyway.
