A few questions.

I recently tried to transfer my emulators from my 1 gb memory stick,to my desktop, then to a 4 gb memory stick. It said certain files were corrupted in my snes emulator afterwards. My SNES emulator no longer worked after that but everything else did. My question is this:

Are there any ways to transfer these files...especially saves...without them being corrupted?

How can I prevent my saves from being corrupted in the future?

Do files get corrupted on there own without transferring them?

How stable are most popular (Snes,NES,MAME,GAMEBOY,etc) emulators as far as being reliable and working for a long period of time(a year or two) if I download everything on my memory stick I want and don't add, delete, transfer anything to the stick?

Thanks in advance.

i've transferred that kind of thing many times, and i'm not sure why that would happen. Try Transferring the save files folder seperately from all of the emulators, as in do not copy all of the memory stick at once, only what you need to transfer. Just try different ways, but make sure you dont delete anything. It should work fine if you try. Also see if there is a way you could directly transfer information such as with a card reader and your psp both plugged into the computer.
THey shouldnt get corrupted on their own.

And also, the better emulators of those sorts are generally very reliable, i've never had trouble with my SNES, NES, MAME or GBA, or any come to think of it...
and they shouldnt go bad...ever. And plus they update frequently when the guy who makes that emulator makes improvements.

i hope that helped a little, good luck!
