Help running PSX games on 3.71M33-4 w/add-on. Phat

I am pretty new to the scene and Im trying to play PSX games on my psp. Its a Phat with 3.71M33-4 with 1.5 addon. I have tried a couple of different things so far. I first downloaded PSX iso of tekken 3, then I used icetea1.3 to convert it to eboot file. I then created a folder named "tekken3" and placed the eboot file in it and then placed the folder into the GAME371 folder. It shows up under game on my xmb and when i run it the pops screen comes up and says " booting playstaion bios." but then the screen just fades to black and nothing happens. Ive tried changing some of the settings in the recovery/configurations menu and have still had no luck.
ANY IDEAS?

Try throwing it into your Game folder...dont know too many people that use any of the other gamexxx folders for psx, dont even think they run in any other folder except game.

Another issue that might be causing it...have you changed any of your flash0 files? Specifically opening_plugin.rco.

Do you have the Keys file?

Well heres the thing, I downloaded the tekken3 file of the web. It was a tekken3.iso file. So I then used popstation along with a popstation GUI to convert the iso to an eboot.pbp. I have HOT SHOTS 2 and all that and everything works fine as far as popstation. But the only thing that popstaion creates when i execute is the EBOOT.PBP . After this I created the Tekken3 folder and placed it into the game folder. I put the EBOOT.PBP into the tekken folder. It shows up in xmb as hotshots golf 2 but I guess this is normal. It starts to load and it looks like it is going to work but then screen just fades to black. THIS IS FRUSTATING!!!!

Ohh i forgot, Ive tried to run it without the KEYS file and also I placed the KEYS file that I got from the hotshots game and neither work.

Hm not sure, I have heard much problems about psx games on 3.71 M33 and up.

you cant use a keys file from a different game... Try using umdgen or autopopstation to convert the iso into an eboot and keys file.
