psp 3000

does anyone know if the pandora battery works with the psp 3000. I am thinking about buying one.

Currently, no.
However, it uses the TA-90 motherboard and has a really high chance of being capable of running custom firmware.

idk if a 3000 is worth buying yet... i'd be interested to see if it is able to be modded

the 3000 is the exact same as the 2000...only difference that there is a brighter screen, screen is more glare resistant, lcd has twice the refresh rate and twice the colour depth and a video output (non-hd) for normal televisions. Aside from that the interior components/parts are the exact same, same size, same everything...except you get a brand spanking new thinner ring on your umd door thats made of plastic instead of metal. :shock: Definately just a scam to trick the public.

Lets see...most of this is probably transferable to the 2000 anyways once people start tinkering around with it. Good job sony, good job :roll:

By the way, theyre going to be replacing the TA-090 boards with some TA-88v3 boards, so if you do in fact plan on buying the 3000 you might want to do it real soon before they start rolling out the updated ones.

even if the 3000 gets "hacked", it doesnt have any extra capabilities that are useful for homebrew... as far as i know anyway

screen shots of game play looks horrible for psp 3000 i think ill stick with modding the Phat and 2000 brand models :)
