I need help hacking here

Before I do should I format my memory stick before or after I unbrick it. I am going to buy the Photofast dual sd 16 gb memory set up. I just bought a pandora battery and now I am looking into the memory. Any ideas what is best from here?
and what is the best firmware to use after I unbrick my psp?

First off you'll have to use mspformat to logically format the mem-stick(you can find instructions in a number of tutorials), but you will want to reformat the mem-stick after the downgrade but I wouldn't change it from a MMS unless you absolutely have to.

I think it is recommended to format it. I would always do it but the last several times I messed with a psp I didn't format anything. So idk, safe than sorry I guess.
