Do you have custom firmware?
If so, all you have to do is put the UMD in the PSP, access the VSH Menu, change the USB mode to disc0:// and turn on USB mode. Connect your PSP to your computer and dang! You've got access to the ISO!
Drag and drop it to your desktop and then change the USB mode back to the memory card and plug in your USB cord so you can transfer the ISO file back over. Easy as that.

Well you can downgrade it, but I think you might have to wait for an exploit for your firmware.

you should look up the pandora battery solution

Pandora works on the GoW edition PSP. Hellkat would too if he could get into ChickHEN somehow (I don't know if the MoHH exploit can load it yet).
