Could anyone help me? (Running PS1 on PSP 3000 5.03 m33-6)

Hi guys. I just bought my PSP one week ago, it currently is a 3000 model with 5.03 m33-6.
What I want to know is:

What should I do so as to play PS1 games on my PSP?

I have already downloaded some games on EBOOT.pbp format, I guess thats the format I need? It'd be great if someone could explain me how to play them.

Thanks!

Basically if you get a ps1 game or "PSX Eboot" as people call it, you make a folder in GAME, i really dont think the name matters, but to be safe, name the folder after the game.. "Megaman 8" For example, and throw the Eboot.pbp in there.

Then run it :)

Hi. Don't you need some sort of emulator or plugin called popsloader? (or so I hear)

I tried doing what you said and I have a problem with copyrights, it seems the games are apparently supposed to be purchased from PS Store, so I don't think the game will run as easy as that...

Well, Where did you get the game and what did it say when u tried to run it?

Being at a custom firmware you do NOT need an emulator it is built into the firmware.

Okay! I'll try downloading another one.

Thanks!

Edit: do you need to have a "seplugins" folder on your MS root? I tried following another tutorial using popsloader and I still have it, is it ok to delete it?

Well it's just a folder.

But alot of stuff tends to f**k up if you delete certain folders.

Trial and Error my friend.

It should work as long as the download is good,

It could be a many number of things, though

I'd try a differnet download lol.

I'm not sure but it sounds like this happened to me a while back.
Do you have a clear opening_plugin.rco file. Have you edited it or any of ur other flash files in any way?

opening_plugin.rco? Where is this? I don't recall ever seeing a file with that name.

And no, I haven't edited any flash file...

Well theres a file in Flash0 (I dont even f**k remember if its 0 or 1 anymore, ya i know been forever) that's Opening_Plugin.rco

Basically it's the opening little movie that comes on when u turn your psp on, it also holds files for PS1 emulation.

Well in that case this probably isn't the answer but you can try it anyway if you want.
download this
extract it and copy/paste the .RCO file on your PSP's flash0 -

//vsh/resource

you may not be able to see the files if you don't have the "show hidden and protected files" or something like that checked in your folder options.

EDIT: If you are going to do this, you might want to backup your flash files just in case anything goes wrong. As long as you don't go crazy and delete or move stuff around you should be fine.

Okay, I'll try it now.
Btw, I'm thinking on chaging the CFW Enabler for GEN-A in case this doesn't work, does anyone here know the differences between them?
