Trouble with PS1 game onh PSP need help

ok guys for those who come in and read this i thankyou. for those who and can me i thankyou alot!
heres the problem
i've converted my ps1 game final fantasy VIII into the eboot file using PSX2PSP v1.2
i've also patched it from PAL to NTSC using pal4u2K
i've loaded onto my psp
i can see the file and such which i open
the warning screen would come on and then the standard ps1 logo with the logo sound would play
but after the screen fades it just stays black and nothing happens
left it for 5 mins and also nothing
please someone out there knows whats happening and point me in the right direction

Just start pressing random buttons.
Yea thats right, happens when I play Suikoden 2. I will just sit there and wait after the PSX logo pops up, then eventually I decided to press "X" and it went to the start menu so yea. Try pressing x or o or any other button.

nah mate tried all the buttons and still no loading with the game
