Upgrading firmware 2.81 to 3.03

Hi guys downloaded the firmware upgrade 3.03 put the file (which was not a zip or rar file when i downloaded it just a single file) i placed it in PSP/GAME/UPDATE(the folder "UPDATE" was not there so i created it) then i went back to the psp went to game then memory stick tried to run the file but it just says the game cannot be started the data is corrupt wot am i doing wrong

scrap that i am a twit renamed the file EBOOT.PBP.PBP for some strange reason sorry

just EBOOT.PBP, and r u upgrading to sony FW or 3.03 oe-c?, if goin with sony FW i hav one question for u: WTF R U THINKING?

He was upgrading to 3.03 so he could downgrade numnuts. But yea he figured it out. And titan, please don't double post thnx. And you shouldn't use devhook titan .
