*Help* Gaming Suggestions Wanted *Help*

Well.. hello everyone i have been interested in making small games for the PSP console right and i have been looking at lua scripting and i have got quite used to it so far..i know quite alot about it now and getting the hang of it.. i just need some ideas on what kind of game i should make.. something easy but something i can make a realy good project out of.. so if all of you give me some ideas on what to make im sure i can make an attempt to make it and maybe hopfully one day i can become a homebrew programmer

Well if you ever saw mailias g's post he made a game for the computer. Well it was basic but fun maybe ask him for some tips, / base it off of his with out copying it and turn it in to a psp game.

I have no idea for a game lol sorry.

Although its quite sad how you have to have a custom firmware just to run LUA stuff on psp oh well i could always play it on my laptop though

I realy need ideas for a game.. oh how about a Pong game.. i know there is most likely 100 pong games for PSP

yeah theres already a few pong games for the psp. Maybe some kind of fighting game, or rpg (that one would be time consuming), Maybe even a different style of pacman (like a crash bandicoot style of it)

I think a really simply little fun rpg would be awesome. That is' if you could do it. Plus it's time consuimg like staxx said. I haven't really seen as many pacman remakes as I have seen pong so that would be a better way to go. Or like a small sonic remake.

Start a project and dont quit it. Keep working on it, dont go on another project until the first is finished.

ah woo thanks everyone for the replies heres mine lol oh and before i start i thought i should let you all know.. PSP ROX!! lol and i have decided to make a pong game with some kind of twist to it but not sure what the twist could be lol oh and should i add in sprites for the bats+ball or just make it a classic pong?

Well to me "time" i have heaps of time and a RPG would be realy great and yeah that would take alot of effort, although i dont think there is realy any rpg games made for psp yet is there? oh and yeah a pacman kind of game would be alright to make too it would be a pain to find the right sprites lol. I think a fighting game would be a bit hard to make for me as a first game but i will keep that in mind for later when i am better at lua also thanks for your post

Yeah as i said a rpg would be a great idea to do i might actualy look into it. I am planning on making a pong game a sonic remake! that would be pretty sweet too.. but i dont think i can do stuff like the 360 directional in the loop de loop thats what i call it lol but some other things i think i can do thanks for your post.

Hey man, Thanks for the tip I realy love the psp and what you can do with it.. I will try so much not to start a new project until the first one is finnished.
