Psp defects?

My psp (3.50) is acting up. i had it for about a year. when i try to load a game it takes about 5 min. when i use the left and right trigger (say i was shooting on a game) i let it go and the game shows me shooting. sometimes when i turn it off (not sleep mode) i have to try and turn it on a few times before it starts up. i dont think i have ever dropped it.
did i do somthing to it? or is it a defect?

Probably just wear and tear from extensive use... you might want to take it apart and try cleaning up the contact points a bit. Also check the rubber padding under the trigger buttons to make sure they pop back up when theyre pressed down. If that doesnt help then you'll probably want to consider purchasing new button ribbons.

As for your games starting to load slow...it may be a sign that your laser is starting to go. (but im not 100% sure)
