Corrupted Data

Is it common for memory sticks to end up with corrupted data? When I attempt to transfer eboots or mp4 files to my PSP I end up with corrupted data a good 75% of the time. I'm wondering if this is common-place and if it could be remedied by the use of a usb memory stick reader (as opposed to using the PSP itself). I'm using a 4 GB memory stick btw. This really sucks I mean I haven't gotten a single full movie onto my fat 4 gb card and I have only gotten one of the five different psx eboots I posses to succesfully transfer to my PSP. Any help would be appreciated.

It could be a whole array of different things.

1. Tell us how you are setting up your psx games?
2. Tell us if you ripped the psx games or if you downloaded them?
3. Tell us what program your using to encode your movies to .mp4 format?

Some of the PSX games were downloaded, some ripped, the only one that I have gotten to work was ripped (Driver). I used PSP video 9 to encode my video files. As for how I set up my PSX games, I am not sure that I understand the question.

Ok, as for your downloaded psx games... make sure you have this done... create a new folder and name it the title of the game, drop your eboot and keys files inside the folder you created, then place the folder inside your game folder.

If that doesnt work then it may be that the game was poorly ripped and i would suggest to download them from a different source.

PSPvideo9... just hit the copy tab and choose the video you converted then click the copy video to psp button and it will place everything in its proper place. Should work fine unless you cancelled during the conversion process or something.

well I ripped other psx games myself w/ no sucess. Yes I know where the psx games and mp4 files belong on my stick. I think maybe the problem is the mechanism on my psp I did buy it used after all. Thnx anyway.
