do I have to use Pandora's Battery?

I want to downgrade from 3.71 (Sony FW), and the only trick I have found is the Pandora's Battery. Is there anything else I can do?
This is a sig. You may think that there is something to it, but in fact it is just an ordinary sig.

Thanks, but does this mean that I don't need to make the battery a jigstik by normal means?

lol no it means you dont need a homebrew psp because im assuming you only have 1 psp so you just have to mod your battery with the site i gave you and download the Total NEwbi-easy Installer and yea your good to go remember just do everything step by step and as slow as possible so you know wat you doing you should follow the steps in this order

1. TO make the jigkick battery refer to this guide>> http://forums.benheck.com/viewtopic.php ... sc&start=0

2. TO make the magic memory stick download this Total Newbi easy Installer>> http://pspupdates.qj.net/TOTALNewbi-eas ... aid/103916

that should be it any more questions just ask o yea and for the Total Newbi easy Installer just read the readme it shouldnt be that hard to understand if the name of the app is designed to work for newbies

na i dont think you do your just unsoildering the third wire in the battery to turn it into service mode so you dun have to run the battery installer and the Total Newbi installer installs the 1.50 firmware for you

great, thanks. I'll do this as soon as I can.

Sorry for the double-post, but I need to know one very important thing. Is there any way to make the battery functional (as a normal batt) again? Would it be as simple as resoldering the pin? also, the installer has no readme, all I got in the download was the .rar file, which windows cannot open. What should this n00b do?

ok here I am so far, opened the battery (although I may have ruined it, saw a bit of white smoke after I opened it) down loaded the total newbie .rar file, and extracted it. How do I use the file to make a "Magic memory stick"?
