ok i'm lost what is a GTA or eLoader?

the rar file doesn't work, every time I enter the passward it says "encription error (password: ?)"

well i got it to work and so did this other guy i helped with the GTA elaoder and i dont know how many others.

it will install all needed files to your psp and it will give you instructions so you dont brick it.

ok so let me get this straight , if i have a psp version 2.5/2.6 factory updated i CANNOT downgrade ?

i have a 2.5 psp factory ... so how exactly can i downgrade it so i can use homebrews? .... i dont want to buy GTA . im already broke as it is and i cant find anyone to sell the psp .

You need GTA to run the exploit and eboots.

BE SURE TO IGNORE THE DOWNGRADER WHEN IT SAYS TO RESET YOUR PSP, BECAUSE YOU CAN'T TELL WHEN IT IS FINISHED YOU COULD BRICK YOUR PSP!!! IT WILL RESET ON IT'S OWN! Some people on the QJ forums bricked their PSP's because they couldn't tell when it was finished as there is no visual while downgrading. It does reset itself, and the EASY Downgrader tells you to reset your PSP, but IGNORE IT!! Just to let you guys know if anyone who can downgrade hasn't already (and you have problems if you haven't and DON'T have a TA-082), just fair warning to anyone who thinks about using the EASY Downgrader.
