you can update from either firmware, the firmware doesn't effect the outcome.

Yeah, thats basically what I said, he can either downgrade or upgrade, doesnt matter
And its a good thing you're choosing OE-A the key features are 3.02 VSH and the PSONE emulation hacks.

So masterofme you allright now?

no, you can'y play PSONE ISOs,

Mailas, you need to clarify when you speak

you can use the pop which is an emulator that sony added to 3.00 so that if you own a PS3 you can buy a modified version of a game you like, and then transfer it to your PSP were you can play it. But since this is a modified version of 3.02 you can basically head to any place that distributes ISOs and download these files as you would an ISO.

But you should update anyways.

OK I just installed 3.02 O-EA basic intaller from the download section. Now i'm a little confused. Where do I add the emulators? I have a "game271" folder and a "game" folder. Am I supposed to add a "game150" and "game302" folder? If so, what do I add in each one of those? Sorry for the questions, i'm kind of a noob and i'm confused. thanks.

How in the hell could you not understand that. Supa, just...try to understand for once.
Anyways. if you want the link to the easy installer just PM me. I cant post it since it contains copyrighted files.

Nevermind, I got it. I just created "game150" folder and added the emulators in there. I think thats right, it seems to be working so it must be.

If there is still any confusion, I recently updated to the new OE-A and I used an auto install since I was too lazy to make my own DXAR, but anyways, I'm pretty sure that this custom firmware does not play PSX ISO's, but it allows you to play internet distributed SONY PS1 "ports" or whatever you call them, without the certification files on your PSP. The "modified" or hacked version of the POPS sony PS1 emulator only allows to play their PS1 games bought off of a PS3, but with OE-A, one can take the Sony games off of their PSP and "share" them over the internet, since the modified POPS in OE-A does not require you to have the certification file. Sorry if I was a bit repetitive, but just trying to get a point through. As of this moment the only games distributed that I know of are Crash Bandicoot, most of Tekken2 or whatever, the Syphon Filter game, Hot Shots Golf 2, and Coolboarder. If anyone else knows where to get any other released games lemme know, and I can provide the site where to get these if you don't mind getting them "for free".

-------additional info-------

I must vouch for OE-A and that it does work, albeit the Korean font and Location Free player (which were taken out of the firmware to save space since it took plenty of room to fit all of the stuff). I'd like to also add that most of the 1.5/1.0 homebrew works, and you do not need devhook to play your ISO's as they appear under the GAME menu on your PSP, while they are still safely in your ISO folder in the root of the memstick). All-in-all I gotta say that upgrading to this firmware (especially if you are already running 2.71 SE) is really worth it since you no longer have to deal with using Devhook to do much of anything, and you can also play the SONY PS1 games as they keep appearing on the net.
Back, and playing with my "zompsp".

Anything non-torrent would be great, since I do not have nor can I install any torrent cleint onto the computer I'm on now. But hey if anyone is willing to upload some games that would be greatly appreciated, I'd do the same if anyone wants coolboarders, hot shots golf 2, or soon to be in my possesion: Crach Bandicoot.

You can just use recovery and set default homebrew to 1.50 kernel.

By the way I'm fairly certain Medeival requires 3.03 to play. I now have Tekken 2, and will soon have Syphon Filter, just ask or PM me for the site I got em at and I'll send it to you via PM (by the way you only need to register for free then youre good to go for anything) so lemme know. By the way the games are uploads and not bittorent if you prefer your downloads like that.
