LightMP3 v1.1.0 came out. There are a few homebrew programs coming out/ updating. But the developer just doesn't post here. :p

Theres tons of homebrew apps being released/updated...i'd say at least one or two a day. Theyre usually posted in our news on the home page. Unless you mean apps that "wow" the users...then i would agree with you that theres nothing extravagant.
