I'm kinda confused myself... Fanjita has been working on the downgrader for 2.8 and been doing other stuff, plus its the holiday season, so he probably hasnt checked his email yet.

But there's already one for 2.8 and it's YOUR code so you should dictate when to release it. I dont suppose you could pm me a proof of concept ?
