PS1 Emulator for PSP/PS1 roms

I got the PSX-P PS1 emulator, and I wanna put PS1 games on my psp, do I have to put around a gig of space for a rom to use it and run it, I was gonna try to get FFVII on there but it looked like the rom was gonna be huge.

Basically what I wanna know is if PS1 roms should be huge or not =/

They are fairly huge, 100-200MB usually probably. Except FF7! Each disk has its own ISO/EBOOT file and each file is about 500MB?

So are you trying to play PS1 games on your PSP or on your Computer?
Custom Firmware has a built in PSX emulator and all you need are the ISO or EBOOT files. They are not ROM files.

So, if I wanted to play FF7 I'd need like a 4gb memory stick? =/

You only need 1 file on your memory stick at a time, so it only takes up about 500MB, you only need a 1GB memory stick depending on what you usually carry on your memory stick. I use a 2GB and it is fine for me.

ya the emulator is built into the firmware, so you dont need to download that. And also it depends if your using single eboots for multi disc games, using multiple eboots to complete one game. Obviously the single eboot is easier to use and more convenient but takes up more space.
