Infrared Receiver

I was wondering, since you can share files using your psp's IR, is there a way to get a ir remote code using the IR? Like pointing the remote at the port, pressing buttons, and it write the code to a useable txt file for you to use? Im asking because the infrared remote i downloaded doesn't have the right code for my t.v..

nope, thats what i've been using, but it doesnt have the correct codes for the Durabrand t.v.
