Secret of Mana Error

Ok so when i play my Secret of Mana ROM on the comp. its all in english everythin is understandable but when i play it on the psp the menu screens are all messed up like dialouge is fine but when it comes to words on the menu its all weird, i've tried multiple roms and they all work on the comp but not on the psp so will i just have to wait for the snes emulators to get updated or what, this doesn't happen on any other roms just these 2 Secret of Mana and Secret of Mana 2

it just may not be compatible.. not all roms are %100 workable on psp emu's..

could ya DL it and try and tell me if u have the same issue u will notice it as soon as u start where it says new game or load games its just a jumble of letters

if thats the only one that doesnt work... it means ur rom is messed up or not compatible... so try getting another version ... if that doesnt work its just not compatible yet.

ok well i've dowloaded several times and it must just be compatible so does that mean in the future it will be compatible?

did you download from different websites?

because you may be just downloading the same version over and over.

well idk how to tell, could someone try and find one or i will try tonight but if anyone gets a workin one i will greatly appreciate it

I have Secret of Mana on my PSP and I don't have the same problem. Try getting a package of ROMS thru torrent sites. I've had great outcomes with them.

Mmm, what I hate about the prospect of downloading packaged roms is that there's only about 3% of them I'll actually play.

That's true, but every now and then you'll get an urge to play something and you'll be glad it's there.

ok guys lemme explain or try so u guys are saying like when u star up Secret of Mana on PSP and u choose new game the word new game is spelled correctly and isn't a jumble of letters. if so send it to me at [email protected] that would be greatly appreciated also if u have a Secret of mana 2 and its all working send it to the same address thanks guys i owe yeh

Try changing the screen size under the emu menu by hitting the analog stick left go to screen size and hit the O button
Fit BL, 4:3 BL, Full BL all work perfectly don't use any without the BL ending (like just normal fit and 4:3 and even widthx2) those all give you the messed up menu text.

go under the emu menu ( left analog ) and change the screensize ( O buttton ) to any one ending in BL to fix the menu text. Also change the sound rate to 11khz and frame skip to 5 or 6 and psp clock to 333 for most accurate play that i found comparing the original secret of mana in my snes to this emu+rom combo.

Just to help you out a bit if you're having trouble finding secret of mana 2, I could be wrong but I have it myself and I do believe the rom is named seiken densetsu 3 or something
