neocdpsp help me please!!

i have had a terrible time trying to get the neocd emulator to work... well... the gui works, but i cannot get ANY games to load. i have spent numerous days scouring google looking for a bios file that will not come up with the error message : could not open ipl.txt! or Error: error while processing ipl.txt or one of several other error messages i recieve when using the other 10 or 15 bios files i have located on google that provide an array of other error messages when trying to load a rom... can someone please help...

ps i saved directly to psp

also when i look at the version information on my psp, it says that the version is only .1 while it says that the version is .5 on the brew pack generator, i have reinstalled it many times, but it still says that its version .1...
