Hey guys, I've been away, and all these new firmwares came out, so yeah I haven't read the readmes but from what I understand that this is what I have to do:

PSP phat: already have 3.52M33-4 --->3.71 M33 --->3.80 M33 --->3.90 M33 ---> 3.90 M33-2 ---> 3.93 patch

Slim: already has OFW > despertar cementario > 3.52 M33 > 3.71 M33 > 3.80 M33 > 3.90 M33 > 3.90 M33-2 > 3.93 patch

Is this the right track? Did I make any extra steps?

I think 3.93 patch isn't ready yet. Just the other day, they had barely updated CFW to 3.90 M33-3. I think the 3.93 patch was done unofficially.

yeah the 3.93 patch isnt even on DA's site so i would stay away from that for the time being.

alrighity then, so with the exception of the patch, is the rest of the method still ok?

Alright, I just needed to know and the guide answers the question; I need too have 3.52 as a minimum requirement, but is that hte same for the slim? Because I didn't find out if the guid eis universal for both phats and slims.

I wish I could assist you with the Slim question, but since I don't own one, its difficult for me to try to answer to you, since everything I have learned has been from just working with a phat PSP.

I like 3.71m33 for my fatty because I do not own any games that need higher and most of what was added above that really only benefits slim users.

My PSP ran perfectly under 3.71cfw, I upgraded to 3.73cfw and hated it.

Eventually I upgraded as high as 3.80 to verify web radio did not work on the fatty. The fatty does not have enough RAM to handle web radio and thus there is no reason to upgrade beyond that in my opinion unless you own a game that requires higher.

3.90 added Skype capability and the fatty does not measure up (lack of RAM).

I understand Dark Alex is working on something that will benefit both PSPs but that is not out as of yet. When it does come out it will be big news. Until then I'd load 3.71 cfw and wait, unless you own a game that requires higher.

I currently have a CFW 3.90 phat PSP M33-3 and web-radio works fine. I am pretty much really happy with it, since I play good music all the time (hook it up to a ghetto blaster!!) I never really tried anything with 3.80, since I jumped from 3.52 M33-4 to 3.90. Maybe the issue only exists with the 3.80?

Perhaps it is only with 3.80. I have never installed anything higher on my fatty and bought a slim so that I could have web radio. I needed a new PSP anyways. Mine had a lot of miles on it. Not having web radio capability was the final straw for me.

I just updated to that a while ago, I got the kernel and V2 and maxed it out. It's just that mi primo has slim and he wants to play cool stuff on his PSP, he's 12 and I want to us despertar cementario on it, but I don't want to leave his with 3.52 kuz he always plays UMDs. I want to know what to do so that I don't brick the poor guy's PSP. Just in case you wanted to know why I wanted to know.
