Ok so i had him make me the battery. When i put the battery in my psp all i get is a blank black screen but i can tell its on because it glows a bit. Is this normal?

I thought that the magic memory stick was what was created to make the battery. if not u got a handy link to the instructions for that?

right, i did that, but thats where im confused. i read the readme and it says to open the installer which i did, it tells me to format the card but i cant do that if my screen is black. am i supposed to start that process with my good battery and then switch afterwards?

Yes, Format your MS then put the DC program on it.

To get yout PSP past that black screen, put your charger in and take the Pandora out turn it on, and put the pandora back in.

Or yeah... Just put the good battery in,

ok ive gotten the magic memory stick created. do i have to install the 3.80 m33 first or can i go straight to the 3.90 firmware. it is my understanding that i need to have atleast 3.90 firmware to play MLB 08 the show. or does this negate that now? also it says i should make a nand dump before doing this and it says press [ ].....i dont understand that. im feeling like a total noob, im just scared to brick it

Yes, make the nand dump.

If you brick you can just use your pandora to unbrick :P

But, once you use DC to get to M33 just update to 3.90M33

I still dont understand what it means by

press [ ] to dump the nand

Just dump the nand.

It makes a backup of your nand in case something happens...

Nand is your PSP's current FW.

ok. got the firmware installed. 3.80m33 now...you said just upgrade to the 3.90 m33. how do i do that?
