Looking to play emulated games.

Does the snes emulator (uo_Snes9x) need to be installed differently then i did with Nesterj?

When i try to load the emulator it freezes at the psp screen and the psp eventually shuts off.

Yes, obtain eLoader 1.00 (http://noobz.eu) and I'll show you a niffty little trick

Ok i got the eLoader installed. Im giddy about this nifty trick.

Make a copy of the eLoader folder and rename it. (For this example rename the copy to SNES)

Delete the "emenu--.PBP".

Take the eboot that comes with uo_Snes9x and rename it to "emenu--.PBP" and place it in the SNES folder, that you copied and renamed.

In the XMB(Main menu if YDK) run eLoader(The copy) and it will go straight to uo_Snes9x.

No prob.

Use an app called "PSPBrew" to change the name of the EBOOT, so both do not come up as "eLoader". You can also change the pic with this.

Will this make the games run smoother?

I loaded up the emulator with the eloader and games load fine but they run real slow. Any tweaks to make them run smoother that you know of?

Also theres no sound???

This is great. im wicked excited to try this stuff out. now that i have the custom firmware it will enable me to learn alot more about what i can do with the PSP.

Ive done a little searching around but cant seem to find a recent post or anything by googling what the newest version of uo_snes9x is. I was thinking maybe i grabbed and older version? do you happen to know what the most current version is?

Yes, but this is the best version.
Its not the EMU its eLoader.
I tried to load a few other apps... Either no sound, or just crashed...

And the only way to run this emu is with the eloader right? so does that mean im boned on sound?
