i know to burn use active ISO burner. good free software. unlimited. i have linux, so i can right click it, and save it as an ISO.

did it with CS3

iso ≠ ripped compressed dvd. Either I'm crazy or everyone has no idea what DPM is trying to do. I believe he's trying to take a DVD movie, and turn it into a compressed video file, whether is be avi, mov, or mkv.

DVD Decrypter and Virtual Dub do just that.

I use Nidesoft DVD to AVI Converter Platinum. It's simple and gets the job done. I usually go to redbox, use free coupon codes to rent free, then rip it to my computer for sexy 360/ps3 media streaming. w00t!
