guitarist in trouble again...

im not having a good week and i seem to have no motivation to play my guitar its really sad......but when i do i loose intrest in a second.

does anyone know how i can combat it...its driving me crazy

Write a song? Sorry, I don't even play an instrument. But you could just take a break for a while then come back and play it. Like with some video games, I'll play it a lot then won't play it for a long time then when I start playing it again I want to play it non-stop.

yeah im seriously considering that taking a break...the only fear i have is that i mite not want to play again and ill get out of practice

Same with me. I'm all for playing a game nonstop, then I'll not want to play it at all for a while. Then I'll get back into it and play it again.
I think writing a song would be a good idea, listen to some of your favorite songs and learn to play their songs. Although you might have already done this.

Well, I play several instruments, and I never practice, the only time I seem to get the drive is when I listen to music that appeals to me, be it old or new.
Try exploring new music and discovering stuff you didn't know before, might inspire you to practice, also, do you have a guitar stand? I am more likely to start playing if my guitar is already out in the open, I've practiced a lot more since I got my acoustic guitar (which sits against my wall).

nah..you will play again, that happens to me a lot, i do want to play guitar..then i dont want to play guitar, then i do, then i dont.. It will annoy you though haha.
