Downgrading your PSP
If you need to downgrade your PSP Look here first!
If your PSP's Firmware is 1.50 or under you do not need to downgrade.
2.00:
1.) Obtain the MPH Downgrader(http://psp-hacks.com/file/3) and the 1.50 eboot(http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/4)
2.) Install the Files like so;
3.) Now go to your PSP and open the PHOTO folder.
It should turn black and show a bunch of numbers and the Memory Stick light will flash.
4.) Once it stops flashing(5+ seconds) Turn your PSP Off (power switch 5+ seconds) Turn your PSP back on and Check that you have the index.dat.bak file in the root of your memory stick
(If you don't go back to PHOTO and Try again)
5.) If you do, go to the game folder and run the 1.50 Update(you must have 75% battery power and charger on for all downgrading/upgrading)
6.) Once it gets to 99% It will give an error message.
7.) Turn off your PSP and restart it.
8.) Do what it says and enjoy your 1.50 PSP!!!
2.50: You Know I'm Lazy If your at 2.50 just upgrade to 2.71 and save some trouble as the 2.71 downgrader is said to be 99% stable.
2.71:
Obtain the 2.71 downgrader(http://pspbrew.com/?page=fileInfo&cid=&d=2411)
Get all the files on to your memstick and E-mail(Don't PM me) me for the 1.50 Dumps.
The Downdater has a good readme so I don't think I need to explain.
2.80-3.03:
For this downgrader you need an unpatched version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
The Patched version has a "Greatest Hits" Cover and prompts you to do a 2.60 update.
1.) If you're on a firmware other than 3.03 upgrade to it(The Eboot:http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/958)
2.) If you're at 3.03 obtian the Downgrader and the 1.50 EBOOT.
3.) Place the files from the downgrader on your PSP and rename the 1.50 EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP and place it in the folder: ms0://PSP/GAME/UPDATE/
(Important: Don't over write the EBOOT.PBP thats already there)
4.) Load GTA:LCS, the screen should turn black then light blue, and your PSP should reset itself.
5.) Check that your PSP is in HEN by going System Information and it should say 3.03 HEN
6.) If its on HEN go to GAME and run the x.yz update.
7.) Have it patch your MotherBoard if necessary
and run the downgrader.(NOTE: you must have 75% battery power and Charger in)
8.) Press "X" when it finishes
And Enjoy your 1.50 PSP.
3.50:
3.60&↑: You need a pandora.
I've naver made a pandora before so look in the tutorials section.
Lastly, To the Moderators The reason I put this in the Help section Instead of the Tutorials section is because No one ever goes in to the Tutorials section.
