One time I was at a doctor's office and idk how it got brought up, but he asked if I had any difficulty sleeping or anything at night, and I told him just a little because of how I dream. He asked me to explain what I meant, and I told him that I could usually control my dreams. He asked if some were violent or not and I said yes because some are/were (as I hope everyones are), and then he immediately began to talk off at the mouth about what psychiatric medicine(s) he could put me on...
Of course, my mom freaks out for some stupid reason and everything gets blown out of proportion. Everyone thought that I would murder someone in my sleep or something... or thought I was crazy or something - at least they acted like it. Anyways, long story short, I never went to see that doctor again and refused to take meds.
To this day I can still do it. After reading about lucid dreaming, it only helped me be able to do it more often. Basically, how I do it, is I wait until I'm on the verge of being awake and sleeping, and then like... my eyes move a little, and if you can begin to think about whatever you want to dream about right then, you can just about dream of anything. I think being able to escape into my own imagination during the night is the only thing that's kept me sane, even though what I may have just said sounds crazy to you guys. If you guys read up on it, you should get a pretty good grasp of what I'm talking about though. It's hard to explain... I wish I could give more detail about how I do it but it's just... idk, it's how you think at a certain time... it doesn't really have set 1.) - 2.) - 3.) type of instructions to follow.
