people are so mislead when ti comes to marijuna its not even funny.
look at this topic

http://www.norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=6812

I mean Marijuna is no natural and its been now proven that it DOES NOT, i repeat DOES NOT destroy brain cells in HUMANS and can promote growth, and if you didnt know, many studies show that Marijuna is not addictive...

if im wrong please prove me wrong :)

That's terrible math... your solution is way off.

You sure "couln't" do English... ;)

*EDIT* ~ I admit, I'm not a poster child for living a drug free life. I'd even be inclined to make the point that I think I alone have smoked more pot than any one person on this forum, and that SEGA Game Gear and I, combined, have probably smoked more than this entire forum altogether. That doesn't make me or him cool. It doesn't make me or him a rebel and no, it doesn't even make us stoners or a potheads either. I'm my own individual person just as SGG is, and stereotypes don't define us.

I have 3 songs left to beat on Guitar Hero 3 on expert mode. I recently beat like... 15 that were too hard for me in only the past 3 days. How? - I'd largely attribute it to marijuana. Now I'm not going to say that it is right for anybody, but I'm the last person to say that it's wrong for somebody. Marijuana won't make you a pro athlete, actor, or president of the United States. It won't make you anything positive at all. In today's society, it will only make you a criminal, however, is that the right thing to call marijuana smokers? - criminals? Think about it... we have some great people living in this world today, and many more that have died that all have smoked pot (among various other drugs) and those people weren't unsuccessful just because they smoked pot. Sure, it won't make you a pro athlete, actor, or the next president, but it WON'T STOP YOU from being any of those either, obviously, as history has proven quite the contrary.

There also comes into question how responsible you are. Drugs and alcohol are fine, but you must be responsible. I don't recommend drugs for younger people, generally speaking, 15 or younger, simply because most people <15 years old don't have their own responsibilities in the real world yet, and may have trouble prioritizing their life when they actually do i.e. get a car, steady girlfriend, job etc. The general rule of thumb I go by, is if you're responsible, truly responsible, then you're 100% fine doing drugs or alcohol.

To warn anybody that hasn't done any type of drug or any particular drug etc. - if you aren't sure what your limits are, the only way is to go OVER your limits. This is the dangerous thing for most people. They don't put themselves in a safe environment to test their limits. If you take it slow and don't slam 15 shots the first time you drink or try to smoke an ounce of pot the first time you smoke, but instead, gradually understand, over time, that you are comfortable doing "x" amount of drugs/ alcohol but you are uncomfortable doing "y" amount of drugs and alcohol, then you're setting yourself up for a much "healthier" drug and alcohol-related life style, if you so choose to have one. I don't recommend doing drugs or alcohol, but if you plan to or are currently, and you haven't slowly tested your limits, please do so in a safe environment so that you don't end up endangering your own life any further than the initial drug/ alcohol use will. I'd also like to clarify that if you EVER drink 15 shots or smoke an ounce of pot, even if either is done throughout the entire course of a day, you may have a problem, especially if you do that often. I didn't mean to say "don't do it your first time" in an undercover way of telling anybody to work up to those amounts. Both of those amounts are ridiculously large amounts of drugs/ alcohol.

wow that are great.

haha next time you all smoke invite me bruh...
oh sh*t 3 more days and its 4-20, you know what that is right?

but i only smoked Marijuna like 4 times in my life, not that many times

thats exactly what i say, i believe anyone who is responsible no matter their age should be allowed to. You know as a libertarian im really against telling people how to live their lives and stopping them from doing stuff. ITS THEIR BODY, NO ONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO TELL ANYONE HOW TO LIVE THEIR LIVES.

Well in that case then farq, you have no right to tell someone they can't kill your mom or dad, or that they shouldn't.

Eh, I still don't think doing any of it is good. I mean it is a fact that, according to that national drug association w/e it was called, that smoking marijuana increases your blood pressure, maybe not a lot, but it still does. I think it's ok to drink a little every once and a while, but I aint.

As for calling people who smoke marijuana a criminal, I think that's perfectly fine. They broke a law didn't they? Then there a criminal. I don't care if I broke a law and someone called me a criminal, because it'd be true. I mean, it's against the law, and I don't think that it
s a very good reason to say you smoke just because it's against the law either. But I don't make the laws, and well I try not to break them either. So yea, just my opinion.

how many times have i told you this, libertarians believe that people can do anything as long as they are not hurting others life, liberty, property, and pursuit of happiness.
So killing others and hurting them or making them do things without them wanting is wrong.
I believe highly in individual rights just like basically all our founding fathers, but unfortunately people have in MY OPINION been brainwashed to think that such a society in which all are closely monitored and told what they can do and cant do is a good society. But we forget that non of us have the right to take people's liberties away from them by telling them what they can and cant do.

Its just wrong, we do not have the right to do that. I mean smoking marijuna in a open area or your house doesnt hurt anyone. Its your body and you have control over it and no one has the right to tell you what you can and cannot do with it.

I mean you get fined $500 in my state for not wearing a seat belt, how is that fair? its my f*ckin car and ill wear and seat belt if i feel like it. Even though i always wear seat belt because i want to be safe, im just giving an example

Of course he has the right to tell someone they can't kill his parents. Libertarians are about anti-government restrictions. Less taxes, and consequently, less government-run programs as well, but many of the core idealogies from Libertarianism comes from Communism (which isn't a bad thing). Anyways, he's still bound by the same federal law no matter what his personal beliefs, and conspiracy to commit murder is a crime punishable by the United States Judicial System.

I don't know, ace, but I'd stop before you make yourself sound stupid. Libertarians believe in less government telling them what they can and can't do or what they have to or don't have to pay in taxes. They're not anti-law, they're anti-restriction. Your little "murder" comment holds no ground.

Holds no ground? I was just commenting on the fact that he just said he believes-
farquezy wrote:ITS THEIR BODY, NO ONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO TELL ANYONE HOW TO LIVE THEIR LIVES.

If they want to commit murder with their body, then why should anyone say that they shouldn't? I know Libertarians believe in anti-government restrictions, but he keeps going back and forth between order and disorder. First he said he believes in Anarchy, then he said no one should take away a persons inalienable rights, then he says no one has any right to tell anyone how to live their lives.

So is it right to tell someone they can't kill someone? I just think he should expand on that comment.

agreed.
here a little piece i wrote about marijuna that i and many of my fellow liberatarians find very well written

I believe it rest up to the parents, Marijuna should be legal to all ages, but parents decide at the end, though that is takign away individual rights, i believe that most but not all 14 year old are not mature enough to handle this substance so the parent needs to make that decision. This is because only the parent can determine if the child is responsible enough to smoke.

And yes i totally agree with the fact that people dont think the consequences through, but Marijuna has not consequences lol. I mean name one study done on HUMANS that shows Marijuna is harmful, all studies that show this are done by U.S. government who can only test animals, and last time i checked animals and humans are different. I mean you look at the private studies done or studies form other countries that are actually done on humans. You see that ganja can actually promote better thinking and the only bad side affect is that you will use less of your Brian if you smoke it for a long time.

From this we can conclude that marijuna is actually healthy and not harmful

i said that i mis wrote anarchy, i meant libertarianism....
damn haven't i already told you this

And now one has the right to tell anyone how to live their lives, am i wrong by saying that? This includes someone killing someone, that person has no right to do that since he is basically telling someone he must die.
