Good point but it is difficult to discuss Islam today without touching on the middle east involvement with oil and this always causes government discussions to come forth.

It can be argued that religion is just a tool that governments use to better understand its citizens or control them, so I can see why government came up in this thread...

Ok i think that without religion the world would fall into a hopeless since of despair... because what would our motivation be to be good on earth if it didn't improve what happens to us in death so many people would no longer have a code of morality thus murder, rape, and death rates would increase... also, we need religion in order to keep stability in our otherwise meaningless lives.

anti religion? when?

but yah im just saying it would be such a wonderful world if we could live in peace in a anarchy.
A society where people can behave themselves and live peaceful lives without a government.

But that will never happen, since it is human nature to kill each other and hurt others

OOHHH GOOD ONE!!

Have you forgotten about witch trials, Inquisition and the Crusades? If we did not have religion none of that would have never happened. Also Religion prevented scientific progress for centuries (dark ages) so as a race humanity would have been better off without it if you as me,

it is human nature, its the nature of all animals a like.
I mean even if your the most peaceful of all people, when you get mad you just want to kill that person who caused you pain

I mean im real nice, never get mad, and i strongly believe in peace, but there has been times i wanted to kill somebody.
Its just our nature, from the beginning of time to now we have always slaughtered each other.

No matter how much we try to deny it, its a part of our lives and we cannot escape it
