It could be used to monitor code as an app runs, some kind of way to debug a homebrew app. Or you could use it to display not only temperature and memory use, but clock speed, memory stick space, battery remaning, and anything else important.
This is a sig. You may think that there is something to it, but in fact it is just an ordinary sig.

Good idea.
I could easily stick in a tempeture reader and it is possible to read the battery and EEPROM from the microcontroller.
I could use it to have USB mode on even whenever I'm playing a game.

He would need a small hard-drive to fit in a PSP, but that could work in the opposite sense. By that, I mean programming it to recognize an external hard-drive or a PC hard-drive. Then again, IRshell does that.

Not so fast. The PSP is a computer too. It would be able to do it by itself.

No, with a little modification to the Firmware your PSP could read a 1TB maximum.
Its unethical though as loading times would make your PSP unusable.
I'd reccomend giving your PSP PSX controller support.
Aside from looking cool It could make things easier.

psx support? that can easily done with the new firmware right? wouldnt it be more useful to keep a 80 gig hdd? thats practically half the psp games to date all rolled into one psp.

It would take two hours to even get to the ISO.

Having more than 16GB is pointless.

What, did you mean the new firmware has PSX controller support?

ok then why when using usbhostfs i have loaded games straight from my 300 gig hdd and it never takes THAT long. and if its pointless why support up to 32 gigs at all. seriously im not doubting but i seem to see nothing but the contrary. this is where using the ipod hdd as a internal drive begins to be truly beautiful, a mini computer that could be used as the host could work.

the psp has EVERYTHING an original psx controller has the new firmware adds the ability to map your keys. the only diff is the L2 and R2 buttons which actually if you REALLY REALLY wanted them there is a tut on acid mods that will let you solder switches to do that very thing.

I saw one of them 1 person couches at Goodwill for 50 cents. I know that was off topic, but I'm just agreeing with the fact stuff is cheap at thrift stores...
