You don't know the meaning of annoying until you've used Webroot's firewall, which asks about every single thing that runs, then on startup asks you if you will keep the settings for each and every one unless you say it's safe.

That's pretty cool and all, but I'm not a fan of windows or cathodes. I mean, I think they look great, but I think it's just a hassle for the most part. I don't need "bragging" rights when I have the specs that I have now. By the way, this is the first post from the new rig. It started up the first time without any problems and installs things usually faster than I can say "Bob's my uncle" - literally.

I'll have pictures soon I think.

Nice. Don't get me wrong, I believe specs are more important then looks, but I love the looks too. I mean what better way to compliment a great computer with great looks? I believe it's sortive the whole package. But really the reason is started the window in the first place was, well, because I just liked doing it. At least to me, I think actually making the window and installing the cathode and stuff is fun. I could do it all day if I had enough side panels, and time.

You know I was thinking, even though my case is pretty limited, I might just buy a new mobo, cpu, video card and call it a day (ofcourse ram, and heatsink). I would love to build one from the ground up, but I could probably save some nice money if I just upgraded the core parts.

I'm glad to sure your computer is working though. That's great man, run into any problems?

Edit:I think I might try and get this mobo for my computer, as well as a new case, cpu, and video card (8800GT of course):

Don't get that motherboard. For one, that's open box, and has been deactivated b/c someone else bought it. Second, it has a pci-e x16 slot, but not pci-e x16 2.0 slot, which is the newer interface. The 8800gt line takes full advantage of 2.0 and by buying that motherboard you'd be bottlenecking the graphics from the start.

I'll post pictures when I fire up my laptop. It has a card reader and for some reason my jimmy-rigged ghetto card reader isn't working any more. The only problem I had is that I can't connect the top headphone port to the motherboard because it's no AC'97 compatible. I think I can just get a converter though, but it's not really needed b/c I have a headphone jack on my logitech speakers. So, problems? - nope, not really. The case is so big that it eats the entire motherboard easily, and it's a full ATX board. Also, people complain about not being able to fit the 8xxx series graphics cards in their systems b/c they're so long... well... not in this case. The card is about nine and a half inches long and I have enough room for over an entire FOOT worth of space for a graphics card. Such a great build... Call of Duty 4, Crysis, Assassin's Creed... I'm up there with the big boys now. I've been playing Assassin's Creed at 1600 x 1200 resolution with EVERY setting maxed out without any problem at all. That's when you know you have a good system.

O dang I didn't see that, thank you for pointing that out. But I didn't plan on getting an open box, it was just the one that I linked to, of course I wouldn't buy an open box one though. But I really didn't notice the pcie x16 not being 2.0.

Dude I bet assassin's creed looks crazy on that system. I really need a new computer... Well at least new cpu, that's really my only worries. But jeese 939 sucks :( And old too.

I do believe that he said he's going to use magic to buy computer parts... And something about a tuna factory. I could be very off.

It was late when i found those, so there is a high possibility that I missed something critical about them though :p Lemme know.

The second board will not accept a phenom quad core processor, so upgrading in the future is a bit limited. The first one is really good, but doesn't offer much more than the regular A770 A2+ that I ordered. It's the "big brother" version, which is a LITTLE bit larger overall, and uses a Marvell 88E8056 LAN chip instead of a Realtek one. Would you notice a difference in LAN speeds? - nah. Just a different chip. What's more important is the North Bridge and the South Bridge chipset, and the board I chose, the A770 A2+ uses the exact same North and South Bridge chipsets, and costs $10 less with a $10 rebate as well, so $20 less if you can pick up the rebate. The only thing better about the board you have is that the integrated sound is 8 channel while mine is 6 channel, but if you just have a good set of speakers, that won't matter at all anyways. You won't hear a difference in quality. I have a set of these Logitech speakers that I got in a pawn shop last year for $35. A good deal if I do say so my self... didn't even pay tax on em ;) They sound awesome.

BTW, this is my motherboard, for reference to yours. Keep in mind that none of them come with screws or paper/ rubber washers or anything. Most motherboards don't, but some do.
