You still need GTA to run HEN...
GTA runs the TIFF exploit, and then "flash's" HEN. So duh you need GTA to run HEN. Someone didn't eat their wheaties.

No the Tiff exploit runs out of the XMB. I just did it 2 months ago.

The GTA Exploit uses THE GTA EXPLOIT, Thats why its called GTA exploit.

That's how I got custom firmware on my psp :p Used it on my psp to put 3.40OE-A on it and it has had custom firmware since :p never had a problem, and it is 3.90M33-3 now. w00t

The GTA exploit runs the container file doesn't it? If you could run the tiff exploit without GTA then why would there be a GTA downgrader? Now you've confused me I don't even remember the process now.

No, GTA does not run the tiff exploit. When you load the Tiff image it runs the downgrader eboot by its self.

GTA exploit came out 2 months before the Tiff one did and the TIFF one was less popular becuase most had already downgraded

I understand where we messed up now, when akira mentioned GTA I was hooked on the GTA exploit, which runs HEN. You're talking about the 2.81 downgrader that you just launch by checking out the container. But in the GTA exploit you run the container, which in turn flashes HEN. So really I guess were both right, just talking about different downgraders.

all you two did was confuse the Hell outta me. All i know is that the 2.81 downgrader doesnt work with the TA-082 motherboards or whatever they're called. Thats why i had to Rent GTA haha
