Well boys, Get Desperter Cementerio and Hardmod your selves a Jigkick, and Flash M33 on your slims. There is a link to a windows installer in the help section that I made, I'll post a link to it if I find it :)

Well its definately slightly more of a Hassle to get homebrew for a slim, but Nowadays there isnt much that you can do on a Phat that you cant on a slim. The only things that are truly impossible to do on a slim are the installation of 1.5 firmware, and the Use of IR, being that there is no IR port on a slim. For Newer homebrew there is a "slim equivelent" that is released, and isn't difficult to find. As far as running ISO's and PS1 games, everything is the same.

Thats not true Steel, There is an eLoader on the slim that can fully do 1.50 Kernel, on any CFW.

You can do teh exact same thing with a slim with Custom Firmware probably 3.70 to 3.90 is where you wanna be. The only thing you will be missing is you cannot run 1.50 homebrew apps on the slim, well there are E- Loaders that will allow you to run some 1.50 homebrew. However, most popular homebrew and emulators have been switched over to be playable on the slim as well using the 3.XX kernel. You would only be missing out on old homebrew apps. The slims don't have the iR ports either, but the slim has twice the ram (64 MB)

@Th0m4svu:

To start from scratch:
You have an Official Firmware PSP. Once you use the "Pandora's Battery and Magic Memory Stick" (Simply a modded battery and memory stick) you can install a Custom Firmware on your PSP. This will allow you to play homebrew and game backups and allow you to customize your psp with themes and stuff. To use the Battery and Memory Stick you just stick them both in the psp, and you will need to hold the 'L' button at certain points when you stick the stuff in your psp. Once you do that a menu will load and you can chose to automatically install Custom Firmware, once it finishes installing or w/e you want to do, you take the battery and memory stick out and put a separate set in and you are set on Custom Firmware. You can also revert the battery back to normal by using one of the pandora tools for the psp. You only have to format your memory stick to get all the pandora stuff off.

You will most likely need to make the items yourself using one of the several tutorials in the tutorial section or preferably buy them to save yourself the time and hassle. Someone posted a link for a cheap set earlier. It shouldn't cost more than $35. Very cheap.

I dont think that i said you couldn't run 1.5 homebrew, its just that 1.0 is getting more use Recently. Also i said 1.5 FIRMWARE could not be installed, not that 1.5 Kernel was impossible to run. And what i meant by what i said was that I just find it more convenient to use Slim adapted Homebrew. And i dont think that eLoader works 100% of the time (that i'm not sure about).

There is always TM which loads the 1.50 Kernel like on a Phat and gives full homebrew support.

But it takes you to 3.40 however...

whatever, i didnt mean to argue, 1.5 homebrew is kind of Getting Outdated now, i dont think i ever use it on my Phat, meaning that these two guys would most likely not use it on a slim. Most Recent Homebrew is easily run on a Slim. I think that a slim has more potential for future programs because of its doubled RAM, but all in all for homebrew purposes the differences have leveled off quite a bit.

Of course!!!

But still, somethings will not load on a slim.

Like Homers Rin, and gpSP(I ain't seen a release in a while...).

And I like PSPRadio, and Links2.
and the AKFIM(Or w/e) IM thingy is a 1.50 Kernel app.

Ya, and you know i really like gpSP, but the official Creator hasn't made a release in a long time. I think the GBA Emu is great but i hate the Menu... I've never had a problem running a rom on gpSP.

Yea the last update on phat is v9. Haven't had an update in forever. It would be nice if they added more Cheat support or something.

Yeah, the only problem I have is that PKMN: Mystery Dungeon won't save :(

Even Kai's versions aren't bad, they don't change much however...

i think its V0.9. I think i remember reading that the Writer Was angry about a bunch of Unofficial releases being made and if they didn't stop then he would cease to make his official Emu. That would really suck because gpSP really is Impressive, almost perfect.
