Neo Geo CD Emu

Ok, so i figured out how to get this Emu working, but i cant figure out how to include the MP3 files that come with the game...
In order to get the game working you have to Unpack the ISO, and turn it into a .Zip folder, but like i said, the MP3 (games music) isn't in the ISO and i dont know what to do with it for the Emu to read it...if someone could help, just tell me, thanks.
And actually i'm using an old version of the Emu because the Newer one doesn't seem to work the same way... again if you know how to work the Neo CD emulator please help haha, they're pretty strange.

thanks!

I figured it out! All you got to do is:

*Have your directory like this:
//GAME150

//NCDZPSP

//ROMS

//Metal Slug

Metal Slug.zip (ZIP FILE)
neocd.mp3 (FOLDER with .mp3 extension)

Stick all the mp3 files in the neocd.mp3 folder and you can listen to them while you play the game.

But If you want to put in mp3 files that aren't from the games soundtrack, just rename the mp3 files
"Metal Slug - Track 02.mp3" (This mp3 name is only set to be played in the main menu, so you won't hear it in game)
"Metal Slug - Track 03.mp3"

And so forth. Keep in mind that each mp3 file is set to be played on only certain levels, so if you only have Track 03, 04, 05, and Track 06, then you won't hear any music later on in the game since those levels require the MP3s to have a different name in order to execute them. The game is programmed to execute 20 songs, so you will have to make up to "Metal Slug - Track 20.mp3" in order to hear music in the final stages of the game.

If you have some other random songs other than the original Metal Slug .MP3's, then the sound of the gunshots and guys screaming might be a little load and overcasting onto your game, so just do this:

Press L to go into the menu then press O to go into the game configuration.
Go down to where it says Enable Sound, there are a few other options underneath it so this is where you can modify what you wanna listen to.

Sound Volume: the sound of gunshots and guys screaming, put this option to 0% to mute that.
CDDA Volume: the sound of the MP3 files, put all the way up to 100% to listen to these

I edited that post a little bit, to add more info about adding your own MP3 files.
I tried the new emu, but I was missing a '000-lo.lo' file or something.
The game doesn't lag at all if you turn down the Sound volume all the way or to 10-20% and just listen to the MP3s.

I searched some stuff about it in google, but it was saying that 000-lo.lo file is suppose to be inside a neogeo.zip file with neogeo roms in it or something?
I just looked for a few minutes though, but maybe the newer version would be better.

From what i read, the 000-lo.lo file is either just another additional bios file, or i also read that its inside the neocd.bin and you have to rename a file inside of that 000-lo.lo.

idk its quite confusing, if i find out what to do i'll tell you

after searching, i'm even more lost as to what exactly i need to play this thing... i'm not sure what the 000-lo.lo is, where i can get it, or if its even the only additional file i need to play the Emulator. This problem occurs when using NCDZPSP v2.3.1, the latest emu. I cant even begin to figure out what i have to do to make the thing work. If anybody knows feel free to tell...

I know i shouldnt Double Post, but i believe this is an exception...

I got ncdzpsp V2.3.1 working perfectly, you need the Bios (NeoCD.bin) and the 000-lo.lo which is found in the Neo Geo Bios download, which you put in the root folder of the Emulator with the .bin.

Also like advent had said about the MP3 directory, well it should look like this

(folder)MetalSlug/
MetalSlug.zip
Mp3

Thanks for the tips Steeler. This is one of the few emulators that I haven't tried yet, but I just might give it a try.

although you probably already know this, if you want your own mp3's, you can just put your mp3 in place of whatever file you want it to replace. For instance, in metal slug and most other games, the 2nd track is the track that plays in the menu, so if you take an mp3 and rename it like the others, you will have new menu music.

Now i'm gonna see if i can get the other NeoGeo to work, the MVSPSP 2.3.1. BTW, if you know of any good Neo geo games, tell me, i've never really played around with any of them except for Metal slug.

Ya i was considering making a tutorial, but its just not a very popular emulator. Then again, it might not be popular due to its difficultly of use... lol. I might, considering a lot of people like metal slug, and i've never made a tutorial before, and could make one out of this thread... haha.

Maybe we should make a tutorial that has all of the best Emulators in them, and instructions to work and install them...
