So is there a way (or what can i do) to make my psp's background the normal background with the waves but make the color totally black like this

but have the waves move and all that?

Wouldn't you just edit 1-12.bmp or whatever it was called, and change it to a complete black picture? I used to use actual pictures back when I had 3.40OE, so the waves were on top of the pictures. But I never tried it on like 3.90 or higher.

Yeah, they compressed all 12 bmp pictures into 1 so I haven't tampered with it.
I wonder what would happen to the PSP if you loaded that image on the picture viewer...
I'm going to try that now.

I had a custom theme on 3.52 that came with a black waves background. It was awesome especially because I usually play my PSP at night in the dark. That background looked cool and saved my eyes too.

hm... so does anyone actually know a good method? Idk where the .bmp images are anymore, and i'm not sure of another way of doing it. Isnt there an Xmb-editor or something that lets you do all kinds of cool stuff with it?

Does it move? I would be interested in getting this to work on 4.XX M33 because they just released a version for it.

If things are still done like they were in the past, all you would need to do is what ace suggested. create different .bmp files named 01.bmp, 02.bmp, 03.bmp, etc and then merge them to create a 01-12.bmp. I'll take a look if i still have the program on my computer, and then upload it for you guys. I got it from a developer named zinga if you want to try googling for it.

I found it. Uploaded it, link is below. There's a few gradients included, but i couldnt seem to find my solid colours. There should be a readme as well explaining how to use the program. If you need any extra help just let me know.
