buying new psp advice needed please xD

Hello everybody, I'm thinking of buying a new psp. I bought one when it first came out and bricked it and then since then I forgot all about psps lolz and now I wanna get back into the psp gaming world. I remember when I first bought it people were saying the japanese one is better because the screen was made by samsung and it was better quality or something. So is that still true? xD I dont know which psp to buy the japanese or us version and is it still worth it to buy the new psp? Will I be able to downgrade and run homebrew on it? =o

i actually like the japanese psp better for some reason...
the new psp has its pros and cons, but either way i'm sure you'll be satisfied. I personally like the japanese phat version.

Get the New Kratos Red PSP or the Madden Blue one.

my friend has the GOW psp, its pretty cool, and it comes with the game which is awesome.

i have a phat and a slim. both have pro's and cons that i have experienced.

phat
pros: better homebrew capabilities, but if you just want to play iso's on your psp you wont have to worry about this.
cons: heavy and thinker. if playing w/o resting it on anything it can wear you down over time.

slim, pretty much the opposite as my list above. The homebrew ability isnt reduced that much, but you can only use homebrew with 3.xx or 4.xx versions unless you do extra work (not worth it imo)

these are just pros and cons that i have come accross, there might be more important ones for you, idk.

i personally use the slim alot, and the phat for watching movies in bed and using it as a remote for my tv

My slim is a silver one (got it used for $100). If i was buying a new one, i would defs get the kratos one. freakin sick!

Why dont you use pandoras to unbrick youer psp?...or did you throw it out?

me? i still have both. Ive bricked both a few times messing around. Just use my pandora phat hard modded and....poof...back in action!

i tried to hard mod one but i failed miserably.

to me the slim seems a bit flimsy... but yet there are parts of it that are better

yeah i like the slim overall MUCH better. almost going to sell my phat, but i like having two.

btw when i made my pandora battery from the phat battery, sparks were even flying a couple of times and it still works like a champ.

my roomates were laughing non stop, till they saw the magic happen... too bad i had to explain to them what it meant to have CFW, it cut the dramatic effect down some

Yea I suggest getting a slim, either the Madden one or God of War one. both are $200
