Take the reg. battery out.
Put the Tool battery in while holding up on the D-Pad.

Nothing. I've been looking for some tutorials and all of them are saying I need to already have a CFW in order to make this work. What's up?

The auto installer runs on your PC.

And please don't ask if you need a CFW for this because I just did it last week for 2 PSPs, and the only time I used my PSP was to softmod my battery.

Sorry, I don't want to sound negative. It's just annoying not to have something go right when it has for others. The only thing that sticks out to me is that when it finishes the installation it also says:

Cannot open device //./PHYSICALDRIVE1
Can't read partation sector

Otherwise, I'm doing exactly what you're saying.

I've tried 5 times now and nothing is working. Do you have any idea in what I'm doing wrong or what might be happening?

No. Got an MS PRO DUO? Try running the eboot version of DCv4 or DCv5

Yeah, it's a Pro Duo. Where can I get the eboot version? Also, were there any additional items I needed to add to the Memory Stick after I install v4?

No, not currently.

EDIT: Wait, one of my friends has a 3.XX CFW. He doesn't have a Pandora or a MMS though. It was done by one of his friends. Would his PSP still be of any use to me?

Yes. Why don't you have his friend do this for you? You didn't need to buy a tool. You could've had your friend softmod a pandora.

His friend is someone from work. He charged my friend $100 for it. There's no way I'm paying $100 for that.

Son of a b*tch!!!!!!

Why didn't I do that last week... I had to go flashing CFWs for free...

In any case, he dosen't have the right to charge for something he doesn't own.
