It's not the religion that causes wars, it's the men who use religion as a means to control people that do.

You talking about the BLACK MASS?

It teaches of sacrifice newborn babies, women having children just so they can sacrifice them. And all this other sacrificing! Just because Satanists aren't worshipers of Satan (which I'm pretty sure they are, but I haven't really studied it much), it doesn't mean they are good, they are still a bunch of dumba**es that have no life and think it's cool to worship the devil. They are a bunch of mentals that think its cool to be dark and do wicked things.
One of my teachers told me a story of this Satanist priest that wanted to do a Black Mass in a jail. Since it is a religious thing, the jailer couldn't refuse the man to do it since the people in jail have the right to a religion. So, the jailer asked my teacher and some other guys to look through the book to find something in it that would he could use against the priest so he couldn't come into his jail. They looked through it and there where several several things in there that violated civil law. A religion can have its own beliefs but they still must follow civil law, Thats why religions can't openly sacrifice people even if it is part of their religion.

Maybe you are talking about something else, but the Black Mass sure is pro sacrificial stuff.

No, not the BLACK MASS.

Advent, seems you have completely disregarded my "Satanists do not sacrifice people, or kill animals, or anything in-humane like that. " statement.

I read that, but I am not sure how informed you are. Because the Black Mass is for Satanists.

In the Satanic Bible[3], Anton Szandor LaVey writes that "A usual assumption is that the Satanic ceremony or service is called a black mass. A black mass is not the magical ceremony practiced by Satanists. The Satanist would only employ the use of a black mass as a form of psychodrama. Furthermore, a black mass does not necessarily imply that the performers of such are Satanists. A black mass is essentially a parody on the religious service of the Roman Catholic Church, but can be loosely applied to a satire on any religious ceremony."

taken from wikipedia.

Black masses were performed by people in the early modern days of France. It's Witchcraft, not Satanism.

People get informed.

Satan is the name given long ago by Christians to a variety of pagan gods. The Bible describes Satan as a snake and a red dragon let's simplify and just call Satan a reptile. Satanism or Satanists are thought to worship a half person half goat thing, notice, non reptile.

The Satanic Bible is not as much a bible even so much as it is about Satan in the biblical sense.

Anton Lavey wrote the book based on pagan beliefs that he felt were more true to his belief in "god" and existed Millenia before the conception of Christ. Anton Lavey's book is no more a work of the Christian devil than say the Koran or the Kaballah.

"Satanists" worship long forgotten pagan gods that Christians labeled as Satan. Also, they have a strong belief in doing what you like and not feeling guilty about it. If there is a sin in the "Satanic" belief system then it wold read something like "Thou shalt not feel guilty"

If Anton Lavey knew the proper name of the deity labeled as Satan by Christians then he would call it that but since Christians attempted to destroy and label all non Judeo Christian gods as Satan (despite the bibles clear references to him) the deity's name was lost to time.

I am glad you mentioned symbols. The first commandment essentially reads "I am the Lord thy God, thou shalt have no other gods before me, thou shall not make for thy self an idol".

With this in mind wouldn't kissing a cross hanging on your neck or counting rosaries or praying to a statue or picture of any one of the various saints be a violation of this commandment?

How come this is an exception? Why is this permitted?

We never did any of that when I went to church but I understand. Is it ok to worship a cross? To us, it is a symbol of what Jesus did for us and we are worshiping Him.
