FFVII Problem

Hey. First thanks for all the tutorials that have got homebrew on my psp up and running :)
I'm having a problem getting Final Fantasy VII to play though.. I'm running 3.90 M33-3 and I don't normally have problems playing PSX roms. It loads the long intro that I can then skip, but when i select 'new game' it just goes to a black screen and stays that way. I've left it for like 10 mins but still stays black so I gave up.
I'm pretty sure it's not the rom because I tried another rom that did the same. It might be something to do with popsloader because it doesn't ask me which one I want to use. Unfortunately since I set up popsloader I've completely forgotten how to add more :? :oops:
So yeah any help would be greatly appreciated!

yah to play FF7 you need to run 3.71 pops, and there are several ways to do this but the easiest way is to find somewhere that provides the popsloader plugin with the pops included. If you need a link just send me a PM.

Okay thanks. I assume on Dark Alex's website I'm downloading 'Multidisc popsloader?'
I got that and copied the UPDATE folder to /PSP/GAME but when I run it I need 3.71M33
Does that mean I can't have 3.90M33 and be able to play FF VII?
If so, how do I downgrade custom firmware back to 3.71M33?
Sorry to be such a hassle!

Does anyone have any experience getting FFIX to run? What version did you have to pop to?

oon 3.71 the game works perfect except for the ability to turn off my psp (sleep mode). But fights and everything else work great.
Phat 3.71->pandora 1.50->3.90 m33 (Sold on Ebay, suckers)
Slim 3.71->semi-brick->Nand Recovery->DCv3->3.71->3.80 m33-2->3.90 m33-3->4.01 m33-2
Want cintro for 4.01 m33? get cintro_390and Autostart_V4.zip, just follow the readme.

Thanks I will try that...once I remember how to pop to stuff...it's amazing how quick you forget these things :D I have 3.71 on the system I think...what do I do to get the system to ask what I want to pop to when I run it for the first time?

On 3.90M33 I think it loads PSX eboots using the official $0ny module. If you wanna use pops there enable pops in GAME.
