Help needed with psp unbricking please!

Alright so I bricked my psp just a little bit after it came out
i had a pure 1.5 phat jap made psp
and I didnt have a friend to make me pandora's battery and the magic stick
so I hard modded my phat battery it was a sony 3.6v 1800 mAh.
I dont know if I did it right cuz I cut the pin with a razor blade and this whole time the battery didnt have any power in it or anything it hadnt been charged for years and I didnt touch any other part of the board I was careful not to. I took some pix of this...

can someone tell me If I did this right?
after this I charged the battery and then I downloaded the dc4 pack from here
and ran it after I put all the stuff in my memory stick through a memory stick reader I put it in my psp and the battery was already in there and power supply was connected, I then turned it on and nothing happen. I realized it also said to hold the "digital up key" I dont know what this is they said it was the left controllers which I dont understand so I tried all different kinds of combinations trying to turn it on hold the L+R or L an the directional keypad and others but nothing worked so I dont know what went wrong... :/
If someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated
thank you all for reading :D

hmm when you charge the pandora battery, and put it in the psp, does the green light turn on right away and then nothing happen on screen (with or without the mem stick)?

if so you might of done the battery right, just need a method for MMS right? we have many tutorials on that so try a few different methods and one has to work. There is the noob installer and stuff in the master tutorial. Try them. there are also tutorials on making the battery w/ pics and everything that you can look at to see if you did the right pin and everything.
Phat 3.71->pandora 1.50->3.90 m33 (Sold on Ebay, suckers)
Slim 3.71->semi-brick->Nand Recovery->DCv3->3.71->3.80 m33-2->3.90 m33-3->4.01 m33-2
Want cintro for 4.01 m33? get cintro_390and Autostart_V4.zip, just follow the readme.
