Firm ware and videos?

I was wondering do you need a certain version of firm ware to run videos on your psp?

No. That would be really stupid if it did though. But yea, you can have any kind of firmware to run videos.

actually my friend had a matelica documentary video that wouldnt play on my 1.5 only on his 2.5. When i put it in i would show up in my music or video, cant remember, but it would show up on his on the opposite one, again cant remember.
