I'm not sure if reformatting your Wii will help, but it seems worth a try. Haven't heard of this problem before. Maybe something just burned out on your Wii.

The thing is the only thing that was 'installed' was the homebrew channel. All the homebrew that's on your SD card, none of that is installed on your Wii... the homebrew channel merely reads it off the SD card. I can't imagine that would do something to your SD card, although I dunno what did mess it up.

sd card not working

ive got the same problem.

i installed it and worked no worries, then turned it off, next day replaced 512 sd with a 2gb... didnt work. i thought maybe coz of a limit or something on size of card.

so i put 512 back in and no channels appear, went into the memory of wii and said it could not be used.. used the latest pal twilight hack (as of yesterday 26/8/08) and have firmware 3.2E??

any ideas out there???

if i was to reformat, could i get the stuff i bought of the VC back again for free?

oh, i had left the 24wiiconnect on, but i dont think any updates have happened. and it was only overnite

cheers

It's gotta be a hardware malfunction. I can't think of any reason why it would happen other than that. Could be a faulty solder joint, or maybe one of the pins meant to line up with a contact on the SD card is bent and not contacting.

As far as a Nintendo update, that wouldn't do a thing.
