Help with homebrew apps

I just tried some Wii homebrew for the first time today. I got the Twilight Hack and the Homebrew Channel from the Wii Pack generator, as well as a couple apps. I installed the homebrew channel through the twilight hack just fine, and the channel shows up on the wii's menu. However, when I go into it, I have a couple of problems.

The apps I got through the generator (not including the Twilight Hack and Homebrew Channel) were the FCE Ultra GX NES emulator, Tanks, Tetris, WiiPhysics, and WiiShip.

The problems I'm getting are that FCE Ultra GX doesn't even show up, and the other four get a "Not a valid Wii Application" error. I did a little search around and got pointed in the direction of looking in the unpacked folder i got from the generator to see if the apps had a boot.dol file and not a boot.elf file. I read that the boot.elf files don't work or something.

Anyways, in the FCE Ultra GX directory, there was no boot.dol, but there was a fceugx_gc.dol file. and in the other four apps I found boot.elf files.

I wanted to know if this was the cause of my problems. Thanks, and please forgive my noob-ness.

Yes, that's the cause of your problems, you can rename fcegx_gc.dol to boot.dol and for the rest I think there is a .elf to .dol converter somewhere

Sweet, thanks. I'll look for that converter.

Hi, did you get the NES Emu working? I had the same problem as you - isn't the fceugx_gc.dol for gamecube only?
