I think it's sad that I have to keep a copy of XP or Linux somewhere just to use my f-ing 7 year old printer (or however old it is)... but that's more of Lexmark's fault. In any case... I'm looking forward to installing Windows 7 as my primary operating system.

It doesn't seem like a godsend, but it certainly seems leagues better than Vista when Vista had first come out. Since it's launch, Vista has had a lot of great updates and performance tweaks, but it's still a resource hog, and I say that with 8gb of ram.

I just tried it, it still has a lot of bugs, but I do agree. It is faster, and more stable than vista, but it doesn't have the features of vita yet, and for that reason, I'm staying with vista

I'm sad to hear it will come in so many different types like Basic, Home, Business, Ulltimate, Jewish, and Ultimate Jewish.

I was hoping for only like, "Windows 7" and "Windows 7 Business".

The programmers you will one day be looking to hire are the ones reading the tech news sites right now.

And they will remember...

90% of the PCs in America run Micro$oft. They can afford to give away a few copies. Besides the betas are crippled and expire at some point I am not certain the time period.

Windows 7 is going to be after Vista.
Mojave is where they set up Vista and let people try it out, but they changed the word Vista everywhere in the entire computer and people said, "Oh, Mojave is great! I love it." Then MS tells them, that's Vista for you.

I was hoping for Windows 7 Basic and Windows 7 Server.
Hopefully, that's what they'll do.

What also makes no sense is why come out with Windows 7 when Vista, according to Micro$oft has no issues and has only been out for 2 years? By Comparison XP has been out for 6, what gives?

Microsoft's trying to pull a Nintendo, of course.
Microsoft thinks it can charge for every little thing people have. You buy an XBox, gotta pay for Live if you want to update it, gotta pay for games, gotta pay for the HDD, gotta pay for the other controller, gotta pay for the WiFi adapter.......
They know it works with the XBox, so they want to do it to the casual computer user.
